Picking where to live may depend on finding a good school for your children. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), in collaboration with others, “leads, supports, and oversees K-12 education, ensuring the success of all learners.” OSPI’s website has useful information about school districts across Washington State, including a “report card” which allows you to compare school districts. The report card includes WASL results as well as district demographic information and more. The website also includes information on how the local economy and federal stimulus package may affect public schools in our state.
Information on specific schools is available on the individual school district’s website. School districts don’t always correspond to city boundaries so make sure you’re in the district for the school you’d like your child to attend.
